This is the cheapest (in price) rack battery I could find after weeks of research ... even including reviewer discount codes for other brands. Naturally I was more than a bit anxious of "get what you pay for" results when hitting the "Pay Now" button, but what the heck, let's give it a shot.
The box arrived with a couple gouges/tears in the carboard but nothing appearing to penetrate into the foam packing.
Opened box ... beautifully foam protected and even more beautiful battery. Flawless construction and fit of case assembly parts, with perfect paint finish. Even the stacking brackets were a perfect fit around the case (had read reviews of very poor fit). The cables are extremely well made, very flexible and absolutely love the quick disconnect battery-end terminals.
Next ... power on. Yes, all looked good. Capacity right where is should be for storage mode at 45%. Cell voltages quite a bit off, around 40mv difference between highest to lowest. Connect to inverter ... so easy with quick disconnect cables. BMS not talking to inverter ... oh no. Read some more, look some more, adjust both battery and inverter for proper protocol and viola - access to all parameter settings from inverter.
Next, adjust max charge current to 10a, plug into wall outlet and charge to 100%. Took a bit with only 10a but reached 100% and inverter terminated charging ... perfect. Cell voltage swing improved to less than 10mv ... still not what hoping for. So now the real test, plug in some AC devices and look at capacity. Two refrigerators for 2 full days, didn't document exact time duration and consumption rates varied as compressors cycled on and off, but confident I'm getting at least minimum specified. May repeat with constant current device and record time for accurate WH figure and update later.
After full charge, discharge, recharge cycle ... awesome news ... cell variation now between 3-4mv. I'm totally happy and amazed. So I didn't "get what I paid for" ... I got something way better than expected and it's performing flawlessly so far. Count me a committed VPauxeii fan-boy at this point!
